NDC Policy Framework: Building a New Nigeria

Nigeria requires a clear, structured, and forward-looking policy direction. The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presents a framework focused on economic growth, security, youth empowerment, and institutional reform.

Economic Transformation and Job Creation

Nigeria must transition from a consumption-based economy to a production-driven economy. NDC will pursue industrialisation, agricultural modernisation, SME financing reform, creative and digital economy expansion, and fiscal discipline.

We will prioritise policies that support manufacturing, technology-driven enterprise, and export competitiveness. Our objective is sustainable growth, currency stability, and mass job creation.

National Security and Stability

Security is the foundation of national development. NDC will strengthen intelligence coordination, modernise law enforcement, improve border security, enhance military welfare, and promote community-based security frameworks.

Security policy must remain professional, strategic, and free from political interference.

Youth Development and Innovation

With over 60% of Nigeria’s population under 35, youth represent the country’s greatest potential. NDC will reform educational curricula, expand vocational and technical training, invest in digital infrastructure, and create structured entrepreneurship financing programmes.

Youth must transition from survival to innovation.

Healthcare and Social Protection

Primary healthcare must be revitalised through transparent funding and efficient management. NDC will strengthen universal health coverage, expand health insurance systems, support public-private partnerships, and implement targeted social protection programmes.

Healthcare access should not depend on income level.

Education Reform

Education is a pillar of national security and development. NDC will modernise curricula, strengthen teacher training, integrate digital literacy, and improve research funding across universities and polytechnics.

Our goal is to produce globally competitive graduates.

Governance and Institutional Reform

Strong institutions are essential for long-term stability. NDC will digitise government processes, enforce procurement transparency, protect whistleblowers, strengthen anti-corruption systems, and reform public sector accountability.

Public office must return to its true meaning: service.
